Small rodents love bathing in sand — this is natural behaviour with which they groom their own skin and coat. This bathing sand keeps your pet's coat free of grease and their skin healthy.
Offer the bathing sand unlimited in a sand bath that fits the size of the enclosure, so your hamster, gerbil or other rodent can wash and roll in it properly.
Clean the sand bath about twice a week, or more often if it's visibly dirty. This keeps the bathing sand fresh and effective.
