For rabbits and guinea pigs, a layer of 5-10 cm is more than enough as a comfortable, warm base. It's best to use straw combined with an absorbent bedding underneath, so moisture is properly absorbed.
Zooply Baal Stro is mainly warm and comfortable to lie in, but less suitable for digging deep tunnels. You can combine it with a diggable bedding underneath if you want to create a scape.
Remove wet or dirty spots daily (spot cleaning) and refresh the full layer as soon as it no longer smells fresh or is clearly dirty. How often this is needed depends on the number of pets and the size of the enclosure.
