Give the enclosure a natural forest look with the Zooply Forest mix with various leaves. This mix is made for hamsterscaping and also suits other small rodents such as mice, rats and gerbils very well. The leaves provide a calm, natural bottom layer and make the enclosure more fun to discover, sniff around in and walk through.
The Forest mix with various leaves is great to use as decoration, but also as extra enrichment. You can sprinkle the leaves loosely over the bedding, place them in corners or work them into a scape with moss, wood and cork. That way you easily create paths and hiding spots, or cover open patches so the enclosure looks more natural. The different types of leaves add more structure to the setup. That doesn't just make scaping more attractive, it also gives your rodent more places to explore.
The mix is light and easy to spread. You can always add a small bit whenever you redecorate the enclosure or want more variety in the top layer. Also handy to sprinkle over moss for a real forest feel.
