This foraging mix combines a natural mix of leaves with tasty walnuts so there's always something tasty to find between the leaves. This Forest mix with leaves and walnuts is meant to be sprinkled and hidden. Sprinkle a small handful over the bedding and lightly mix it through. The leaves form a nice, calm top layer and the walnuts and seeds disappear among them. That gets your rodent sniffing, searching, digging and foraging on its own until everything is found. This simply adds more challenge to the enclosure.
This mix is also great fun for scaping. Sprinkle the leaves, for example, over moss, along a path or around a hideout of wood or cork. The different leaf shapes and colours instantly give the enclosure a natural forest look. You can leave the walnuts partly visible and partly tuck them away under the leaves, so there's always something to discover. The mix is easy to dose, so you can always add a bit when you refresh the setup.
