Short, foldable 50 cm play tunnel with a ball with a bell. A handy hiding spot in the play area for rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets. Read more.
Not every tunnel needs to be long. The Duvo+ Mini play tunnel is 50 cm long, which makes it a compact hiding spot that fits anywhere. Your pet can duck into it for a moment, look around from a safe spot or shoot through it in one leap. A ball with a bell hangs on the tunnel to spark curiosity. Small in size, but plenty of fun during playtime.
A short tunnel is ideal for guinea pigs in particular. Guinea pigs are skittish and want to be able to hide quickly without walking far. In a short tunnel they see light at both ends, and that feels safe. Rabbits use the Mini as a stopover while running, and ferrets dive in and out curiously to find out what that bell is all about.
Because the tunnel is short, it is easy to find a spot for it. Indoors, lay it on a fleece blanket for a warm, soft surface. Or put it in the middle of the play area, so your pet always has a hiding place nearby in the open space. Outdoors it can go in the run. If you have a group of guinea pigs, you can put down several, so nobody has to wait.
The diameter is 25 cm. That suits guinea pigs, dwarf rabbits and smaller rabbits, as well as ferrets. For large rabbit breeds the opening is too small. Only use the tunnel under supervision, because rabbits and ferrets may chew the material. Keep a close eye on the ball in particular. If you see your pet chewing or pulling at it, remove the tunnel.
A short tunnel also goes well with a quiet corner with bedding. Put a layer of Zooply bedding for guinea pigs or for rabbits in the permanent enclosure, so your pet lies softly there too. Shake out the Mini regularly and keep it dry. After playtime, fold it up and put it away easily.
No, for hiding a short tunnel is actually nice. Your pet sees an exit at both ends and therefore does not feel shut in. If you want a running track, choose a longer tunnel from the same series.
At 50 cm long it fits in many spacious enclosures. Only put it there while you are around, though, because the tunnel is meant to be used under supervision.
Yes, indoors that is a nice combination. The fleece blanket makes the surface soft and warm. Do check that your pet does not start chewing the fleece.
You can place several tunnels side by side. With a group of guinea pigs that is even handy, because they then do not have to compete for one hiding place.
Shake it out or brush off loose hair and hay. Keep the tunnel dry and, after outdoor use, let it dry first before folding it up.
At 't Knaagplein in Bodegraven we see every day how guinea pigs and rabbits respond to their surroundings. A quick hiding spot in the play area visibly gives them more calm, which is why this small tunnel is in our range. We choose accessories we consider suitable for the animals we know. Combine the Mini with Zooply, our own brand, for bedding and hay in the permanent enclosure.
