Bloemenveld is a fragrant herb mix, made up of oat and dried flowers. Thanks to the variety in smell, taste and texture, this is a nice way to offer several herbs at once. You can mix the mix through the hay, so the hay becomes more appealing, or simply offer it loose as a treat.
Zooply Bloemenveld consists of 100% dried herbs, carefully packed in a resealable ziplock pack so smell and freshness are well preserved, even after opening it several times.
Rabbits and guinea pigs can have bloemenveld daily as an addition alongside hay and staple food. Mix a small handful through the hay so your pet has to search, or give it loose as a quick treat.
For these species, bloemenveld is mainly enrichment, not daily nutrition. Sprinkle a small amount in the enclosure or hide it in a sniffing spot.
Bloemenveld can also be given to degus and chinchillas as a small addition, loose or mixed through the hay.
How much may I give?
One handful a day is more than enough for rabbits and guinea pigs as an addition, counted across all your herbs/mixes combined.
Why a mix instead of loose herbs?
A mix gives several smells and flavours at once, which makes mealtime more playful. If you'd rather test one herb specifically, a loose herb is more suitable.
