Cherry Leaf is a popular herb among rabbits and guinea pigs, with a broad, slightly firm texture and mild smell. You can give it in two ways: mixed through the hay, so the hay becomes more appealing and your pet actively forages through it, or simply offered loose as a quick extra. Both ways are fine — it mostly depends on what you and your pet enjoy most.

For these species, cherry leaf is mainly enrichment, not daily nutrition. Sprinkle a small amount in the enclosure or hide it in a sniffing spot, so your pet can exercise its natural searching behaviour.
Cherry Leaf can also be given to degus and chinchillas as a small addition, loose or mixed through the hay. Keep the amount small and let hay remain the main part of the diet.
How much may I give?
A general guideline is 1 handful of herbs per day per animal — a total across all your herbs combined. Introduce cherry leaf gently: start with a small amount and build it up slowly, and watch your pet's droppings during the first few days.
