Zooply lime leaf is a natural, tasty addition for rabbits and guinea pigs. These dried leaves add extra variety to the daily menu and fit well with the natural eating behaviour of rabbits and guinea pigs. With a 350-gram pack, you have a handy amount at home to regularly add some extra variety to the diet.
Lime leaf is especially nice as an addition alongside hay and daily pellets. Hay remains the most important part of a rabbit or guinea pig's menu, because it helps with good gut function and the natural wear of teeth. Dried lime leaf makes the menu even more interesting by adding extra smell, taste and texture. This stimulates natural foraging behaviour, such as sniffing, searching and calmly nibbling. This way eating becomes not just a feeding moment, but also a fun, natural activity.
Zooply lime leaf is easy to use. You can offer it loose in a food bowl, sprinkle it over the hay, or spread it around the enclosure. This gives rabbits and guinea pigs the chance to search and choose for themselves, which fits well with their natural behaviour. Thanks to the light, dried texture, the leaves are easy to store and keep for a long time if stored in a dry, cool place.
For good quality, it's important that dried leaves stay clean and fresh. So remove any leftovers that have become damp or dirty. This keeps the feeding spot tidy, so your rabbits and guinea pigs can keep enjoying a healthy, natural addition.
A general guideline is 1 handful of herbs per day per animal — and that's a total across all your herbs combined, not per type. Introduce lindeblad gently: start with a small amount and build it up slowly. Watch your pet's droppings during the first few days — if they stay nice and firm and round, you can gradually increase the amount further.
Store lindeblad dry, dark and well ventilated, preferably not in plastic. Moisture is the biggest enemy of dried herbs: if moisture gets in, it can start to mould. As long as it stays dry, it keeps for a long time.
The ingredients of lindeblad come from Europe and are carefully checked for quality after drying, before being packed by Zooply.
Lindeblad comes in a resealable ziplock pack. This way you can open and close the bag more often without the contents losing their smell and freshness.
Lindeblad is suitable for rabbits and guinea pigs, and can also be given in small amounts to hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, degus and chinchillas.
Zooply stands for quality. We specialise in herbs and treats — precisely the areas where things most often go wrong for many pets. That's why our range is deliberately small per product group: we only offer the best option, nothing less. And we use it ourselves, every day, with our own animals.
