Zooply marigold petals are a lovely, fragrant treat for rabbits and rodents. These dried flower petals are lightweight and easy to give as a small extra alongside hay and daily food. Thanks to their yellow colour and fine smell, it's also a fun way to make the food look a bit more appealing.
You can offer the marigold petals loose, for example by hand, or sprinkle a little over the hay for extra variety. This way eating stays interesting and your pet gets a natural treat without unnecessary additives. Store the petals dry and cool, so they stay nice and keep their smell well. Always provide fresh drinking water.
A general guideline is 1 handful of herbs per day per animal — and that's a total across all your herbs combined, not per type. Introduce marigold petals gently: start with a small amount and build it up slowly.
