Über Paper Bedding Natural is paper bedding in a natural, uncoloured version. Paper is a soft material that many rodents and rabbits like to lie on and nest in. This large 56 litre bale is handy if you have a spacious enclosure or care for several animals.
You can use Über Natural in many different enclosures. For rabbits and guinea pigs, spread a layer on the floor and clean the toilet corner regularly. Hamsters and gerbils love to dig. For them we advise a thick layer of at least about 20 centimetres, so they can make tunnels. For rats, mice, degus and ferrets, a paper floor works well combined with a fixed sleeping spot.
Always combine the paper bedding with plenty of hay. Rabbits and guinea pigs eat unlimited hay alongside their pellets, and for rodents hay is great nesting material too. Mixing in some hay also gives a digging layer more stability.
It is a large bale. A hamster enclosure with a 20 centimetre layer does take quite a lot of bedding. For smaller enclosures it will last you a long time.
Remove wet spots and droppings regularly and top up. Replace the whole layer when the enclosure starts to smell. With hamsters, leave the nest and food store in place where possible, as that causes less stress.
That is a matter of taste. A natural colour looks calm and suits any enclosure. If you prefer something more cheerful, Über is available in other colours too.
