Christmas wooden play roll with bell - Wooden chew roll with bell for rabbits and rodents - 7 × 5 × 5 cm
This Christmas play roll from Trixie is a small wooden toy with a festive theme. There is a bell on the inside. When your pet pushes or rolls it across the floor, it makes a soft sound. That makes playing just a bit more interesting.
The roll is also meant for gnawing. The teeth of rabbits and rodents keep growing throughout their lives. Gnawing on wood keeps them busy and helps wear the teeth down. For rabbits, guinea pigs and degus, hay remains the most important thing for the teeth. The wood may be gnawed, that is normal behaviour. Replace the roll when too much has been gnawed away, or when the bell comes loose.
Suitable for
The roll measures 7 × 5 × 5 cm. That is a handy size for hamsters, mice, gerbils, rats and degus. They can easily pick it up, push it around and gnaw on it.
For rabbits and guinea pigs it is a small toy. They can nudge the roll along with their nose and nibble on it. The first few times, give it to them while you are around. That way you can see straight away how your pet handles it.
The benefits at a glance
Tip from Knaagplaza
Stuff a tuft of hay into the roll. This turns the toy into a small search game, and your pet gets some healthy hay to chew on as well. Use for example Zooply hay for rabbits or Zooply hay for guinea pigs. A few dried herbs mixed in make it even more interesting.
