Ferrets in particular love a long tunnel. They are playful, curious and dive into anything that looks like a passage. Rabbits use a long tunnel to sprint through and to be safely out of sight for a moment. Guinea pigs often walk through it more calmly and like to lie in it, with just their nose poking out.
Indoors, lay the Snake on a fleece blanket. That gives a soft, warm surface and the tunnel stays in place better. You can lay it straight for a long running track, or along the sofa or wall of the play area. Outdoors, put it in the run on a dry spot. The tunnel is foldable and easy to tidy away, so it takes up little space after playtime.
The diameter is 25 cm. That suits guinea pigs, dwarf rabbits and smaller rabbits, as well as ferrets. Larger rabbit breeds will not fit through comfortably. Only use the tunnel under supervision. Rabbits and ferrets may chew the material, and the ball with the bell is very tempting for ferrets to tug at. If you notice your pet starting to chew, remove the tunnel.
Ferrets like a long sleep after playing. So make sure their enclosure is clean, with bedding for ferrets. For rabbits there is low-dust Zooply bedding for rabbits. Shake out the tunnel after use and keep it dry. If you see a small hole or the ball comes loose, replace the tunnel.
